Concessions

All positions have been filled for the 2026 season and this inquiry form will reopen in January 2027.

________________________

We are seeking local user groups and non-profits to help run concessions at Williston Water World, Dakota Park, and other events hosted by Williston Parks & Recreation in 2026!

How It Works

Get Organized:
Get with your group and choose a leader. Please do not sign up your group without talking it over first. We’ve had multiple duplicate sign-ups in the past, which can cause confusion.

Required Training:
There will be mandatory training for all groups prior to running concessions. This training will be announced when the request email is sent, and you must attend to participate in concessions.

Williston Water World & Dakota Park:
WPRD will provide all concessions, and groups that operate the concession stands will profit share with WPRD, helping support your organization.

Miscellaneous Events:
For events like Ballin’ in the Basin and Keelboat Clash, participating groups will provide all concessions and keep 100% of the profits. Local businesses can participate as well if approved, but applicable fees will apply.

Fair Selection Process

All groups will be notified by email when all event dates are available.

Williston Water World:

  • SignUpGenius will be sent out March 16 to select the dates your group is able to run concessions.
  • Heads up! During the initial sign-up window, which closes on March 31, each group will be limited to registering for two dates. On April 1, all dates will be first come, first served! Registration for the season closes April 30, and remaining dates will be filled by WPRD staff.
  • Contract and training dates will be sent via email.

Dakota Park:

  • SignUpGenius will be sent out March 23 to select the dates your group is able to run concessions.
  • Groups are NOT limited in how many events they can sign up for and registration will close April 24.
  • Contract and training dates will be sent via email.

Miscellaneous Events:

  • An email will be sent at least 30 days in advance. Interested groups should respond with their availability. A drawing will be held on the date specified in the email to determine which group will have the opportunity to run concessions, ensuring fairness for all.
  • The drawing will take place live on Facebook at the time listed in the email. Three groups will be selected and all will be included in the follow-up email sent within two hours of the drawing.
    • The first group will have priority for concessions, the second group will have the opportunity if the first group does not respond within the required timeframe, and the third group will receive the opportunity if neither the first nor second group responds.
      • If no groups respond, a new drawing will be held.
