Currently the Lazy River is CLOSED for maintenance. 

River Walkers can utilize the Lessons Pool during regular River Walk hours while the Lazy River is closed.

UPDATE May 22

We regret to inform you that the Lazy River will remain closed at this time. We are currently losing approximately 5,000 gallons of water per day when it is filled.

Our team is actively working with Associated Pools out of Bismarck, North Dakota to identify and resolve the issue. While we do not have a further update at this moment, we are committed to keeping you informed. We will provide another update on June 8, or sooner if new information becomes available.

 UPDATE May 16 

We regret to inform you that, despite our hopes to open on Monday, May 19, the Lazy River will remain closed.

After filling the Lazy River and running the filtration pumps for two days, we discovered a loss of over six inches of water. Beginning Monday, May 19, we will start the process of locating the leak. This investigation will take an undetermined amount of time. We will provide an update on Thursday, May 22.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work to resolve the issue thoroughly and as quickly as possible.

UPDATE May 6

Work continues on the Lazy River. Last week, a small portion of the top of the island within the Lazy River was removed, and we discovered water nearly reaching the surface. Our crews drained the water, allowing us to patch the initial affected area.

Since water is not meant to be inside the island, we are now awaiting pressure testing of the water structures located on top of the island to determine whether they may be leaking into the area.  We are committed to resolving these issues as quickly and thoroughly as possible. We will share our next update on Friday, May 13.

UPDATE April 28

We regret to inform you that the Lazy River will be closed for an extended period. Currently, there is a patch in need of repair, but the area remains too wet to properly dry and fix. We are working closely with Associated Pools of Bismarck and have determined that a portion of the concrete top from the island within the Lazy River will need to be removed to fully assess and address the underlying issue.

We understand how disappointing this is and are working as quickly as possible to resolve the problem. Our next update will be posted on May 6 at 12:00pm to keep you informed on our progress.

In the meantime, we invite all River Walkers to utilize the Lessons Pool during regular River Walk hours, except from 4:00-5:00pm, that time will be unavailable while the Lazy River is closed.
